Billericay Hypnotherapist FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a deep state of relaxation in which your conscious mind is bypassed. The therapist can then speak to your subconscious in order to help you achieve your goals or overcome your fears or phobias. The suggestions made by the hypnotherapist help people to make their own positive changes in their lives.

Can you get stuck in Hypnosis?

No, hypnosis is a natural state that would eventually give way to other states. The hypnotherapist clearly ends the session, but if they didn’t the client would simply eventually return to full alertness or fall asleep.

Will I act differently while in Hypnosis?

You will simply be in a relaxed state. A hypnotherapist cannot make you do or say anything that is against your own moral code.

Will everything I say be kept confidential?

How long does a session last?

A typical session is normally of an hour's duration. However, depending on the individual case e.g. in the case of smoking cessation it could be longer e.g. 90 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

Every client is unique and the number of sessions you will need will be very much dependent on what you are going to see the hypnotherapist for. Some issues can be helped within one session while others may need a few more. Your individual concern and how long it will take for hypnotherapy to help you to overcome it can all be discussed at the FREE initial consultation.
